Constituency
Kalyan is one of Maharashtra's 48 Lok Sabha constituencies. It lies in Thane district and is made up of six assembly segments.
The constituency covers these six Vidhan Sabha (assembly) segments, all in Thane district.
The constituency was created in the 2008 delimitation of parliamentary constituencies and voted for the first time in 2009, when Anand Paranjpe was elected. Dr. Shrikant Eknath Shinde has represented Kalyan since 2014 and was re-elected in 2019 and 2024.
